My instance is in a read-only mode

An instance can switch to read only mode in several cases:

I didn't use my iTop Free instance

If you don't use your instance, you'll receive several emails warning you that your instance will switch to a read-only mode. If you don't connect to your instance in the weeks following these emails the switch will be automatically done.

Once you are in the read-only mode you can:

  • Retrieve your data using the export fonction.
  • Contact Combodo's SaaS support team to unlock your instance.
  • Let your instance be automatically deleted.

I didn't pay my Team instance

If your payment method is expired or if you delete your payment method your iTop will continue to work until the monthly or annual renewal. After the anniversary date of your subscription your instance will be locked.

Once you are in the read-only mode you can:

  • Retrieve your data using the export fonction.
  • Connect to the support portal in order to update your payment method and renew your subscription.
  • Let your instance be automatically deleted.

I exceeded my quota

If you exceed your database quota your instance will switch in read-only.

To avoid this you should clean your old documents and CIs regularly. You can also switch to the Team version to have some more DB space.

I cancelled my subscription

If you decide to cancel your subscription your iTop will switch to read only mode.

For a Team version this will happen at the end of the paid period.

For a Free version the switch will be instantaneous.

You'll still be able to retrieve your data during a 2 weeks period.
